The checks provide an initial, non-binding indication of whether a company, activity or specific transaction may be subject to AML obligations.

2. No legal or professional advice

The results do not replace legal advice, a professional assessment of the individual case or a binding assessment by an authority, supervisory body or self-regulatory organisation.

3. Limited basis

The results are based solely on the criteria covered and the information entered. Circumstances that were not requested, are incomplete or are inaccurate may change the result.

4. Legal status

The check version and legal status taken into account are displayed with the result. Changes in law, practice or regulatory interpretation may require a new assessment.

5. User responsibility

Decisions and measures taken on the basis of a check result remain the responsibility of the user or the company concerned.

6. Detailed assessment

Where there is a possible or likely indication of AML obligations, or where the circumstances are unclear or complex, a detailed professional or legal assessment is recommended.
